EC Markets Named Forex Broker of the Year at Money Expo Argentina 2026

Two days at Money Expo Argentina 2026 ended with a major win as we were named Forex Broker of the Year.

But the award was only one part of our time in Argentina.

From Booth #15 to the stage, we spent the event meeting traders, IBs and partners from across LATAM, while our Business Development Manager, Nahuel David Quispe Marquez, joined two conversations tackling subjects particularly relevant to the region: the changing role of Introducing Brokers and Argentina’s evolving approach to investing.

Here are some of the moments that defined our time in Buenos Aires.

Named Forex Broker of the Year

One of the biggest moments of the event came when we received the Forex Broker of the Year award.

For us, recognition like this matters because it reflects more than one part of the trading experience. From the technology and trading conditions behind our offering to the relationships we continue to build with traders and partners, each plays a role in how we operate and grow.

Receiving the award in Argentina also made the moment particularly significant as we continue building our presence and relationships across LATAM.

The Role of the IB Is Changing

That evolution was at the centre of our first session of the event.

Our Business Development Manager, Nahuel David Quispe Marquez, took to the stage for Introducing Brokers Are Becoming Strategic Distribution Partners, looking at how the traditional relationship between brokers and IBs is changing across Argentina and neighbouring markets.

The conversation moved beyond referrals and lead generation to the increasingly important role IBs can play as community builders, educators and local points of contact.

It also raised some of the bigger commercial questions that come with that shift: how partnerships are structured, how responsibilities evolve and what brokers and IBs need from each other to build relationships that last.

A New Investment Playbook for Argentina?

On Day 2, Nahuel returned to the stage for a very different conversation.

From Inflation Defense to Real Investing: The New Argentine Playbook brought together industry voices to discuss how Argentina’s changing economic environment could influence the way people think about investing.

For years, high inflation and currency pressures have shaped financial behaviour in Argentina. The panel explored what happens as those conditions evolve and the conversation begins to move from protecting capital towards diversification, portfolio construction and longer-term financial goals.

Importantly, the discussion also considered the experiences that don’t disappear overnight. Currency risk and years of economic volatility continue to influence how investors think about capital, making trust, access and education important parts of that transition.

Two Days of Conversations at Booth #15

While the stage tackled some of the bigger industry questions, Booth #15 was about the conversations happening right now.

Across both days, our regional and business development teams met traders, IBs, affiliates and businesses from Argentina and across LATAM.

For existing partners, it was an opportunity to catch up face to face, talk about their markets and discuss what comes next. For new connections, it was a chance to learn more about our trading offering, technology and approach to partnerships.

Those conversations are one of the main reasons we come to events like Money Expo Argentina. Markets may be increasingly digital, but relationships still matter.

One Liverpool FC Jersey Found a New Home

There was something else getting plenty of attention at Booth #15.

As an Official Global Partner of Liverpool FC, we brought the new Liverpool FC 26/27 jersey with us to Buenos Aires, putting it on display throughout the expo before giving it away as our Day 2 prize.

We also ran a Lucky Draw across the event, giving visitors another reason to get involved while meeting the team.

Money Expo Argentina gave us two days to listen as much as talk.

The conversations on stage reflected some of the changes already taking place across the region: IB relationships are evolving, investor behaviour is changing, and the financial landscape continues to develop.

The conversations at Booth #15 gave us something equally valuable: time with the traders, partners and businesses experiencing those changes firsthand.
