EC Markets Celebrates Double Recognition at Forex Expo Dubai 2026

Sep 23, 2026 7:28 PM

Two packed days at Forex Expo Dubai 2026 ended with plenty to celebrate, as EC Markets was recognised with the Extremely Rewarding IB Program award and our Regional Director Rosie Doan received a Women in FX: Excellence Award.

Held on 22-23 September at Dubai World Trade Centre, the event brought together thousands of traders, brokers, IBs, affiliates, fintech companies and industry leaders from around the world.

As an Elite Sponsor, our presence stretched from Booth #001 to the main stage, with our team contributing to a CEO panel, market keynote, executive interview and podcast, while meeting traders and partners throughout the event.

Here are some of the moments that defined our two days in Dubai.

Recognised for Our IB Programme

One of the standout moments was receiving the Extremely Rewarding IB Program award.

Partnerships are an important part of our global growth, and the recognition comes as we continue to develop the infrastructure, trading conditions and support available to our IB network across international markets.

But a strong partnership programme is about more than what is offered on paper. It is about building relationships that create sustainable opportunities for both sides.

With thousands of IBs and affiliates coming together at Forex Expo Dubai, it was a fitting place to receive the recognition.

Women in FX: Rosie Doan Recognised as Regional Business Visionary

Our second recognition in Dubai belonged to Rosie Doan, Regional Director at EC Markets, who received the Regional Business Visionary award as part of the Women in FX: Excellence Awards.

The recognition celebrates Rosie’s contribution to the industry and her work in building relationships, developing business and supporting EC Markets’ continued growth across international markets.

It also marks an individual achievement within a wider initiative recognising the women helping shape the global forex and financial trading industry.

Congratulations, Rosie, on a fantastic achievement.

When Volatility Falls, What Keeps a Brokerage Growing?

That was the question at the centre of the CEO panel joined by our Group Chairman and CEO, Matthew Smith.

The Calm Before the Revenue Crisis: How Brokers Stay Resilient When Volatility and Volumes Decline brought industry leaders together to examine what happens when elevated market activity can no longer be relied upon to drive brokerage revenues.

The discussion moved across revenue models, operating costs, client retention and the decisions brokers need to make to build businesses capable of performing through different market cycles.

Drawing on 27 years in financial services, Matthew brought his perspective on what it takes to build for the long term.

KEY TAKEAWAY

“None of us are our clients.”

Understanding the industry doesn’t automatically mean understanding the client. For brokers, staying close to the people they serve is just as important as staying close to the markets.

Gold, Silver and a Market Defined by Uncertainty

Markets took centre stage as our Sales Manager, Sridip Sarkar, delivered his outlook on two of 2026’s most closely watched assets.

Gold & Silver Price Outlook 2026: Metals in a War and Inflation Cycle examined precious metals against a backdrop of geopolitical tensions, inflation and changing expectations for monetary policy.

Rather than looking at individual price moves in isolation, the session explored the wider forces influencing gold and silver and what traders should be watching as those conditions evolve.

KEY TAKEAWAY

“The shine may have faded. The story hasn’t.”

Gold and silver have both pulled back significantly from their 2026 highs, but the forces driving precious metals remain firmly in play. The next phase will depend on how geopolitical risk, inflation and monetary policy evolve from here.

What Do Traders Really Need From a Modern Broker?

Trading conditions matter. But they are only one part of the relationship between a trader and their broker.

That wider question was explored by Farah Ellaz, Sales Operations Manager, during the Forex Expo Podcast, where the conversation centred on “What Traders Really Need from a Modern Broker: Trust, Technology & Customer Experience.”

The discussion looked beyond access to the markets to explore how expectations around technology, service and support are changing, and why trust remains fundamental to the relationship between traders and the companies they choose to trade with.

KEY TAKEAWAY

“Technology opens the door to global markets, but trust and client experience are what keep it open.”

For Farah, technology gives traders access and capability, but it cannot define the entire relationship. How a broker supports its clients and delivers on that technology ultimately shapes the experience around the trade.

Muayyad Albanna, Sales Operations Manager, also explored the client experience during a dedicated executive interview, looking at what traders increasingly expect beyond market access and the technology, infrastructure and support operating behind every trade.

Two Days of Conversations at Booth #001

Away from the stage, Booth #001 brought together partners, IBs, affiliates, traders and industry professionals from markets around the world.

Across both days, our regional, sales and business development teams caught up with existing partners, started new conversations and discussed opportunities across our products, platforms and wider offering.

And business wasn’t the only thing drawing people to Booth #001.

As an Official Global Partner of Liverpool FC, we had two Liverpool FC jerseys up for grabs, with one winner each day. Alongside exclusive event merchandise, the activation brought another dimension to the booth and plenty of activity throughout the event.

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who came by to meet the team.

Until Next Time, Dubai

Forex Expo Dubai continues to demonstrate the scale and importance of the trading and fintech community converging in the UAE.

But beyond the scale of the event, it was the conversations that mattered.

The two days gave us plenty to take forward: an award for our IB programme, new conversations, stronger partnerships and fresh perspectives from across the industry.

Those conversations will continue well beyond Dubai. See you at the next one.
