ACCOUNT
OVERVIEW
An overview of your account(s), which can include base currency, value, cash available, unrealised margin profit/loss, funds available for margin trading, and margin utilization.
ACCOUNT STATEMENT
A statement showing an overview of the current balance and the changes in the balance of an account.
ACCOUNT SUMMARY
The status and trading activity of an account.
ACCOUNT VALUE
The total and current value of a specific account. This can be a combination Cash balance, Unrealised value of positions, and Transactions not booked.
ACCRUAL
The adding together of interest or different investments over a period of time
ADJUSTMENT
An action to either change economic policies internally to correct an imbalance in payments or the official currency rate.
AGENT BANK
A bank that acts in some capacity on behalf of another bank. Can be a bank acting on behalf of a foreign bank
AGGREGATE DEMAND
The total demand for goods and services produced in the economy over a set period of time. This will include public and private sector demand for goods and services within the country as well as the demand of consumers and buisnesses in other countries for good and services.
AGGREGATE RISK
Total amount of exposure of a bank to an indivual customer for both forward and spot contracts
AGGREGATE SUPPLY
The total supply of goods and services that firms in a national economy plan on selling during a specific time period. It is the total amount of goods and services that firms are willing to sell at a given price level in an economy

An option contract that may be exercised at any point prior to expiry
ANALYSIS
The study of historical data to predict future movements
APPRECIATION
The increase in value of an asset
ARBITRAGE
The simultaneous purchase and sale of an asset in order to profit from a difference in the price
AROON
A technical indicator system used fror identifying the trends of an underlying security. It will test the strength of the trend and the likelihood of reversal
AROON OSCILLATOR
A trend-following indicator that uses elements of the Aroon indicator to ascertain the strength of a current trend and the probability that it will continue
ASCENDING TREND CHANNEL
It is a basic chart pattern used in technical analysis, which highlights a Bullish pattern
ASCENDING TREND TRIANGLE
Formed within uptrends in stocks as continuation patterns. The lower line is rising whilst the upper line is flat. This is generally considered a Bullish pattern
ASK PRICE
The price at which atrader can buy a currency pair or security
ASSET
An tradeable item having commercial or exchange value
ASSET ALLOCATION
The division of assets or investments in order to reduce the risk and mazimize returns
AT BEST
The instruction given to a dealer to either buy or sell at the best rate possible
AT THE MONEY (ATM)
An option is at-the-money if the strike price of the option is equal to the market price of the underlying security.
AUTHORIZED DEALER
A financial institution authorized to deal in foreign exchange
AUTO-EXECUTION
The maximum amount that can be automatically traded before manual confirmation is required. In market conditions which are volatile, automatic trade execution can be disabled
AVAILABLE FOR MARGIN TRADING
The funds which are available for margin trading. It is worked out by subtracting Used-For -Margin requirements from the Account Value.
AVERAGE DIRECTIONAL INDEX (ADX)
An indicator used in technical analysis to determine the strength and direction of a trend
AVERAGE TRUE RANGE
A technical indicator which measures the volatility of an instrument
